Marco Rossi puts justice into environmental platform

Voting for Marco Rossi for Olympia mayor means an “Olympia for All” and an environment for all. His environmental platform rests on principles of justice.

As mayor, I trust that Marco will not only represent Olympia’s ecological concerns that include green community amenities in affluent neighborhoods and ecological protection and conservation efforts, but that go well beyond that.

Wealthy white progressives have dominated environmental policy in Washington, and Olympia is no different. Rossi is positioned with the environmental concerns of the working poor and communities of color and I trust he will work towards addressing environmental racism and classism in our city.

Our community wants green jobs to address inequality in the environmental economy and to insure that the color of our skin does not determine whether or not we are welcomed into that economy. Marco knows we want healthy air and water quality in all neighborhoods. He knows we demand accessible, affordable, and inclusive solutions to our city’s environmental problems. He recognizes that climate change is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time and needs to be addressed globally and locally.

If you hold people and planet over profit, I encourage you to vote for Rossi for mayor.
