Open Letter to Gov. Inslee on Syrian refugees
Please reconsider your decision to allow the Syrian refugees into Washington. Put the safety and security of all Washington citizens first.
There are ways we can help. The best way would be to wipe out the scum that don’t recognize the value of human life. Washingtonians like myself feel for their plight. Many want to give them a place to escape to. I would want to as well-if it didn’t put us at risk to Paris type attacks.
Wouldn’t the best way to help these people is to make their homeland safe? Wouldn’t that be more humanitarian then forcing them to leave their homeland, potentially getting separated from their family. Or allowing the terror they are fleeing to travel with them making them no safer here than in Syria.
Allowing refugees to come here isn’t the only way we can help. There are many options. We just need the courage to take those options. Washington doesn’t have the ability to wage war, but we can take the step to prevent terrorists from freely entering Washington. I know the majority of the refugees are decent people looking to escape the horrors of their home, however, without any way to properly vet those coming into Washington State, we cannot guarantee that the terror isn’t just following them. As demonstrated in Paris, we know they are.
Please Gov. Inslee, you were elected and swore an oath to protect residents of Washington. Please remember that oath! Our lives could very well depend on it.
