Have courage: Let'sembrace immigrants

America’s history has been to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. It is a way of life that naturally may allow for occasional attacks, which is true and reality, but that is the price of freedom.

It shows that we love not our own individual values and principles but those our country was founded on, and thereby recognizing the importance of balance between security and freedom with true respect for all humans is what makes us grand.

Countries where immigrants are trying to flee from fascism will always be under attack by radicals because they believe for one reason or another that those who have the right to freely love and live, are threats.

But the bravery and freedom of this country have endured this long because of the ideal that being able to be free means people being free to be themselves. Attacks of different sorts will continue to happen, whether mass shootings or bombings. But we must keep our souls by remembering history, having empathy, having perspective, helping save and rescue those who are desperate, and to stop giving into fear.

Love prevails, life endures. Welcome the desperate, and feel proud, knowing there may be some terrible acts of evil in response, but be brave, love. What’s meant to be will be, but we should be proud to be part of the ideals that separates free societies from oppressive ones. How we deal with the worst of times is what defines generations.
