KPLU, We miss you already

As both a PLU alumni and advertiser on PLU’s venerable radio station KPLU, I must say that the recent announcement of its sale to Seattle based KUOW was a huge disappointment.

As CEO of O Bee Credit Union, we look for local avenues which reach our South Sound audience.

Unfortunately, this appears to be increasingly more difficult as yet another local institution is being “Seattleized”. This movement to our great northern neighbor is quite disconcerting to say the least. Will Evergreen College need a good football team to get recognition? Will our traffic woes with JBLM ever be compared to I-405?

I think not. Olympia? I think that’s where some government offices are.
