PLU:Money isn't driving KPLU sale

Oh, good, says I. Finally an explanation as to why the best jazz/news station in the country, streamed around the world and hosted by knowledgeable and friendly announcers, is being sold to the very sad blah-blah KUOW.

KPLU is so popular its fund drives have been shortened by early contributions, something very rare in the world of public radio. It seems the PLU president is selling the station "to sustain public media in the region for as long as possible."

I wonder if all of us KPLU contributors would agree with him. And I wonder if our contributions to the most recent fund drive could be returned to us, since no mention was made of the sale until after the drive was complete?
