Local leaders need local climate solutions

Olympia Mayor Buxbaum's report on his recent learnings from the international conference on climate change in Paris, plus his recognition of Climate Solutions and our governor's efforts are well-considered and deserved.

I hope he will share with The Olympian and our community helpful suggestions about how the cities of Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater, Thurston County and the Olympia port can specifically address this issue.

Productive action at the global level must engage us at the local level.
