Inmate release is like Three Stooges

The early-released prisoner disaster is typical of hushed-up state scandals which so often occur when one party is in charge for decades. Illinois comes to mind as does Washington state.

In our state we see examples such as multiple years of cost over-runs and delays in transportation projects with inevitable added taxes/fees to cover the politicians' fumbles. The prisoner release, facilitated over three administrations, is reminiscent of the Three Stooges' messes. Except our three most recent one-party governors and their minions' actions or lack of actions are not funny.

There should be an independent outside audit of the Locke, Gregoire and Inslee administrations' contributions to this disaster.

And maybe initiating firing of miscreant bureaucrats would inspire attention to detail to help the state avoid continuing incompetence.
