Dogs should not be roaming free

I live on Sleater-Kinney Road Northeast and am writing to plead with dog owners to be responsible for their pets.

Last week my neighbor's Shetland pony was attacked in the middle of the day by two roaming dogs. He did everything he could to save the pony but it did not survive its injuries.

What if it had been one of their beloved pets or, worse yet, one of their children. Please, for everybody's sake, do the right thing and don't let your dogs roam unattended.
