Toll roads should not be tolerated
In my opinion, the Washington state Transportation Commission is totally out of control. I sincerely believe that toll roads are completely unconstitutional. We the taxpayers paid for the roads to be constructed with our money, and remember, the government doesn’t own any money. It is our money; they elect to charge us to drive on our roadways.
Secondly, if you are late in paying these outlandish fees, they have again elected to add ridiculous penalties on top of the toll fees. Further, they can even stop you from obtaining a new license for your vehicle and perhaps even your driver’s license.
These commissioners are appointed by the governor and not even elected to their positions so we can’t recall them. But we can most certainly take an action against their source of appointment. I would advocate that some young attorney who’s looking to make a name for his or her self, take this case all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States and have “toll roads” removed from the vocabulary.
