JBLM rockets notsuitable near homes
It is incomprehensible that once again, the ‘higher ups’ at Joint Base Lewis McChord have no regards, respect, or boundaries for communities and their residents.
The idea that they are going to test rockets (with sonic boom potential) over populated homes adds insult to injury for those families coping daily in the healing process of wounded heroes who have returned home. The physical, mental, emotional impact and triggers to those that suffer PTSD and their families and caregivers is concerning.
The chaos that this will cause - to the elderly and those that take care of them, to pets can run away forever or get killed in the process of running away, horses, wildlife - without a doubt will be detrimental.
By JBLM’s own admission, it will cause a sonic boom. The impact in our communities should be obvious. In this day and age where people live with the unpredictability regarding bomb scares, shootings, rising crime and living on edge, JBLM is compounding these situations.
Our taxes paid for their testing grounds in Yakima; testing has been done for years there. Do what’s right, not what’s convenient for JBLM
Human lives, pets, animals, wildlife and the environment are not collateral damage for JBLM’s war games practice. JBLM, take these tests to unpopulated areas. Have respect for your neighboring communities.
