Homeless numbers up despite Democratic rule
There must have been a mistake in the evening's local news. The news indicated that the homeless in Seattle have grown by 25 percent over the last 10 years. How can this be?
A Democrat has been the governor for more than 10 years. Democrats controlled both houses of the state Legislature for almost 10 years. The King County executive has been a Democrat. The mayor of Seattle has been a Democrat for more than 10 years.
Haven't there been a large number of Democrats in the top 1 percent of the wealthy in Seattle? We can't forget that the president has been a Democrat for the last eight years. How could the homeless grow by such a large number in a time of Democrat control of the state?
In addition, these are the same people telling us we need to take in the homeless from the wars in the Middle East. How can we take care of the homeless from overseas when we can't take care of our own homeless?
