The value of police body cameras
Body cameras are fine but only if all true facts are known.
I was a police officer for 37 years. What true value would be revealed by the “four cameras” at the scene of the mother killing her children? Only the morbidity of the public would be satisfied.
Let’s consider the possibilities of a true police officer, there are many others.
He gets out of his car and a killing sized rock whistles past his face. His camera faces the front of his car and records no objects.
He turns and two black men are picking up more rocks. He draws and fires hitting one in the front and the second when he turns to run. The rocks have dropped among others.
The camera has only recorded the shooting of two unarmed people.
There will be a black world explosion over these facts.
The police mans life would be destroyed and the towns probably trashed.
The cries of “don’t shoot” and “kill the cops” still prevailed long after the president, attorney general, 40 FBI agents and 30 black witnesses said the officers story or the events were true. Why kill a good rabblerouser. Sharpton and his poisoners really have their way.
Cameras may be good but can also be bad. Many officers may fall because of the fears of what may be on the camera that may slow his reaction times.
