Hunt should let people decide on commission size

Here we go again; another public official puts his beliefs above the public’s.

The Constitution of the United States says “We the People” not me, state Rep. Sam Hunt.

Just because you have discussed this issue with people, does not give you the right to decide how the residents of Thurston County feel about this issue. Just because we might have heard about it, does not mean that we want it. Why not vote on this issue?

Did you, Rep.Hunt, get voted into office? Then let the same process that put you into office, decide this fate. Not lobbyists or your own personal beliefs. Too many in politics use their positions as a forum for their personal agenda.

Let the people of Thurston County decide for themselves. Many questions about this type of government, don’t trust trying to sneak more legislation past us.

Wouldn’t you think that if this was really on the up and up, the current Thurston County Commissioners would have known about this proposed amendment?
