The ‘gimmie’ generation should get with program

I’d love to give Chauncey Barnes a great big hug for his letter of Feb. 17. It perfectly stated what the “gimme” generation stands for and how very sad that is.

What is wrong with these parents who give everything to their children and then they have plenty of time to roam the streets and protest anything and everything.

As a single parent who has raised two daughters, I thank my lucky stars that they grew up to be wonderful adults. No, I wasn’t perfect, and they didn’t ‘get’ everything they wanted, but that made them appreciate what they have now.

Come on parents, get with the program!
