Legislative circus is still playing
The governor, in carrying out his threat to veto legislation if a workable budget couldn't be hammered out before the end of the regular session, has lifted a corner of the legislative circus tent and given us a peep in to where the clowns have been busily putting on their big red clown noses in eager anticipation of piling into their little clown cars so they can rush back home to beg for money so they can go back to clown school again... and again.
Micromanagement and nitpicking seem to be the order of the day under the Capitol dome, if some of these bills are any indication of the work being done.
I for one think there are more important issues to be addressed than how rice noodles need to be refrigerated (Senate Bill 6398), and I'm pretty sure none of these backslappers were elected on the strength of their stance on industrial hemp production (SB 6206).
In addition to vetoing some of these ridiculous bills mommy should have cut off the kiddies' allowances and taken away their parking privileges until they finish their chores like good little girls and boys.
