Editorial overlooked Trump's good points
Your staff editorial, Trump driving GOP into abyss, was pretty insulting to all those hard working Americans across the land who for the first time in a long time have gotten engaged in the political process. Isn't citizen participation the cornerstone of democracy?
You call Trump a racist, a bigot, a caudillo, an orange strongman. You say he's mendacious and represents a toxic strain of our national culture.
Talk about name-calling! The darkest time in American political life has been the past 12 years before Trump.
Maybe you don't know any of the tens of thousands of young soldiers killed or maimed in our two wars.
Trump says it was a grave mistake to go to war, and he's equally critical of both Bush and Obama. Is he off his rocker making those kinds of statements?
What you should be concerned about is the cancerous growth of the military-political establishment President Eisenhower warned about in 1961. Both parties are up to their necks in supporting that. Trump threatens to end it.
Take off your liberal blinders! You're as bad as all the inside the beltway journalists who are out of touch.
