$50,000 bail too little for dog-assault suspect
I'm dismayed that a Thurston County Superior Court judge set bail at just $50,000 for the man arrested in connection with the rape and hanging of the therapy dog named Diamond.
I wonder if Judge Erik D. Price knows that the FBI now tracks animal abuse cases because it's been proven that those perpetrators are far more likely to hurt people; I'd like to think he would not have set bail so low if he'd known that.
I tried to send the judge a short message to that effect, but was told he cannot ethically hear such things.
How bizarre of him to shield himself that way. He's a publicly elected official who hasn't even been assigned to this case. Maybe he reads the paper?
