Hillary’s experience deserves office

As Fred LaMotte perceptively stated (4/7/16) about Americans’ dark side –their self congratulatory harping on super prowess, global super status, squandering natural resources, environmental obliviousness — makes make conclude that “they deserve Trump.”

Yet, thinking environmentally inclined individuals do not. Which leaves Bernie and Hillary. While Bernie’s social points are by all means valid, he lacks the power to change U.S. ways unless by revolution, which is highly unlikely.

Hillary, on the other hand, has tremendous experience on so many different levels, including those of an observant wife of a governor and U.S. president, besides her own credentials as lawyer, senator and Secretary of State. She is well regarded worldwide. Half of the world’s population is femail and deserves representation.

Her Methodist upbringing fueled her passion for social and economic justice. While she — rightly — believes in separation of church and state, it would aid her to wear her religion more openly fending for the social gospel values she has cultivated lifelong.

She is a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman American should be so luck to have her as president. Her perceived “arrogance” is shear strength needed to overcome and to govern. In 2008 I already voted for her, then made peace with Obama, whose pragmatic character trait has helped him endure seven and one-half years of GOP malicious obstructionism.

Bernie is a populist. Hillary will strive for her highest self expression including girls, women, minorities and the disenfranchised.

Change must come, but gradually.
