Capitol grounds an embarrassment
The wife and I decided to take a warm Sunday afternoon drive to the capitol to view the spring bloom in the gardens. We were disappointed in the condition of the gardens and surrounding grounds.
They have gone to pot, what an embarrassment. The lawn areas standing 10 inches tall with weeds in full bloom. The rose garden is in pitiful condition. The greenhouses are empty. The beds around the buildings, unkempt.
I believe the capitol grounds tell a story about the people of the state and what they think of themselves, they have gone to "pot". Do you think we could organize a 100 recreational volunteers to keep the capitol grounds as a good neighbor, as a state destination?
