Clinton offers a pragmatic and realistic plan

Democrats must work together to send a Democrat to the White House in 2016 to finish the unfinished job of President Obama. Hillary Clinton’s conviction, know-how and pragmatism will be key in continuing and building on the progress that Obama has made.

We live in a democracy, not under a dictatorship. In a dictatorship, whatever the dictator says that goes. But in our system of government, there’s a legislative body which is called the U.S. Congress. No president can do much or do anything significant bypassing the congress. Candidates should not be promising things which they can’t deliver. Otherwise, it looks like they’re exploiting the emotion of the voters by giving them empty hopes and promises.

It’s a good thing that Bernie Sanders is in this race. He has brought the hot button Democratic issues to the front and center. We should be thoughtful and pragmatic in choosing the Democratic nominee. It should be guided by reason and reality, not by emotion, as we choose the next world leader of the free world.

It’s imperative that we nominate a candidate, who is a proven and passionate Democrat and offers a plan and a vision which is realistic and can be delivered. Hillary Clinton is the candidate who offers that plan. Based on the delegate count, it would be almost impossible for Sanders to catch up with Clinton to clinch the nomination. Hillary Clinton’s the likely Democratic nominee. It’s time for Democrats to come together and unite behind Clinton to ensure that she is elected come November. Staying home and not coming out to support and vote for the Democratic nomnee will simply mean handing the presidency to Republicans. The consequences would be unfortunate and disastrous.
