Republicans need to support Trump
Democrats dominate races for Congress in Washington state. Probably because Republicans see no problem running candidates like Chis Vance, running for the U.S. Senate, who refuse to support their candidate for president even if it means throwing the election to a possible felon.
Democrats don’t have a ideologically "pure" right wing that has hurt GOP candidates for years. Too many Republicans believe there’s no difference between a moderate Republican and a liberal Democrat. These purists stayed home when McCain was deemed too liberal and Romney was Mormon. They’re delusional and blinded by their hard-right ideology.
Democrats are just more practical. Sen. Patty Murray continues supporting possibly the worst president since President Carter because she understands that to have any hope of passing legislation favorable to her party, Democrats must win elections.
Both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are aware that people are ready for a populist movement. A populist is defined as an adherent of a political party seeking to represent the interests of ordinary people. William F. Buckley, a famous conservative, once said that he’d rather be governed by random people than by the Harvard faculty.
It appears that Bernie Sanders will lose the battle to the elites led by Hillary Clinton but there is still hope that Donald Trump will pull off an upset and prove the political pundits wrong.
