Earlier presidential primary makes more sense

It is time for the Democrat Party and the Republican Party to get behind Secretary of State Kim Wyman’s efforts to move the presidential primary up the calendar.

The current primary in Washington is a waste of taxpayer money. The Democratic Party ignores the vote of the public entirely and, while the Republican Party includes the vote of the public, the May 24 primary is too late for any impact.

Let’s all, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, get behind her efforts to change the impact of the public vote and push our legislators to make the change.
