Rotary Club supports community many ways

I am writing to follow up on Nancy Neyenhouse’s letter regarding Lacey Rotary Club’s projects along the Chehalis-Western Trail. First I’d like to thank Ms. Neyenhouse for her acknowledgment.

More important, however, I wish to invite all your readers to participate in Lacey Rotary’s 27th annual Duck Dash, Food and Fun Festival on Saturday, June 4, at Tumwater Falls Park. The festival is free and includes family friendly activities including games and a free children’s bicycle raffle.

You can support the charitable works of Lacey Rotary when you “buy” one, two, five or twenty ducks for the duck race. Every dollar, 100 percent of the duck sales, supports the club’s charitable activities in our community, such as the trail project -- and some around the world, such as clean water and literacy.

If that’s not enough motivation to participate, the buyer of every duck is eligible to win one of 29 prizes such as a trip to Disneyland, jewelry and cash.

This annual festival is one example of how Lacey Rotary Club serves and supports the community we call home.
