Time to let go of police shooting
Stop playing the race card. There was nothing new or newsworthy about the multipage article whose sole purpose was to reignite emotions and play the race card. Time to let it go and realize that two men robbed a store, assaulted a clerk, fled, attempted to assault a lone police officer, and got shot.
Race in this case matters no more than if it was two white guys or two women. Rather than unbiased reporting, The Olympian appears to be pandering.
Why won't those two suspects tell their side of the story? Because it's incriminating.
And for the one that doesn't know what to tell his daughter about him being shot? How about the truth! Daddy stole someone else's property, assaulted someone, ran, and when confronted by police, your uncle and I tried to assault the officer with a deadly weapon. Then the officer shot us both to stop the attack.
That mistake got me shot, and landed your uncle in a wheelchair. Learn from my mistakes. Be a law abiding citizen, respectful of other's property, and respect authority.
Stop playing the race card, Olympian. Start playing the news card!
