The problem is gun free zones

Please set aside your thoughts on gun control for a moment. Whether the killer used a semiautomatic rifle or a semiautomatic handgun, people would have died.

He did not pick the nightclub out of hate for the occupants, but because it was a target rich environment. One of the survivors said it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

If you care to look back at the mass shootings at the church, school, theater, work place, and night club, you will notice that all of these places are gun free zones. Do you actually think that the killers would have gone to these places if they thought the occupants carried a concealed weapon? I think not.

Please work hard to do away with gun free zones; they only protect the bad guys. Give the innocent a chance to protect themselves.
