Democrats should have to answer question

I think we deserve an answer from our elected representatives when it comes to dealing with gun control legislation.

The Republicans wanted a law that allowed due process for those that wanted to buy a gun; where as the Democrats wanted to make a law that banned people from buying a gun without due process. Remember McCarthy? Pretty sure the Democrats would not want him to be able to arbitrarily put his enemies on a government list without due process, and deny those citizens their rights.

So the question I ask of Congressmen Heck, and Sens. Cantwell and Murray is, why do you want to pass legislation that would have kept Martin Luther King Jr and Muhammad Ali from exercising their rights as a citizen? They were put on government lists, as the government believed they had connections of the wrong kind and were a threat to our society, even termed domestic terrorism.

The NSA project was called Minaret. Also for those that think the Second amendment is about hunting, or anything less than a citizens ability to protect their family from tyranny remember, the right to bear arms did not limit what the citizen should be able to maintain. When the document was written it allowed citizens to be armed with the military equivalent of the same firearms the army possessed. Just like the first amendment does not apply only to words written with a quill and ink well, the second does not just apply to black powder muskets.
