America gets the NRA it deserves

Can a nation have karma? Karma meaning action, work, or deeds in a spiritual principle of cause and effect, where intent and actions influence the future of that individual. In this case, a whole nation. With our attempted genocide of the indigenous people, slavery to the tune of four million (the population before the Civil War), and then, there is the Civil War itself, where we Americans killed other Americans to the tune of 750,000 deaths. Then you have Iraq. Could all of these deeds play a role in why you can have a Republican-run Congress refuse to bring to a vote any reasonable gun control mechanisms? Are these Republicans unknowingly working out the nation's karma by letting guns run rampant to the tune of 357 million guns owned by Americans, where our population is only 320 million? Republican Congress, if your hearts are so cold that you can't understand the obscenity of Sandy Hook, I say let's get it over with. Let us Americans have legal ownership of tanks, grenades, flame throwers, nerve gas and, for our neighbors, land mines.
