Vote Hulse for fresh ideas

The issues facing the Board of County Commissioners are vast. The perennial concerns for public health and safety, social services and environmental stewardship grow ever more complex under the pressures of growth, economic constraints and climate change. We need a new commissioner who can think globally as well as locally. We need someone who cares deeply and genuinely about meeting human needs in today’s world, while understanding that compromising our sustainability — and shortchanging our children and future generations — is not an option.

Kelsey Hulse is a Leadership Thurston graduate and has raised millions for the Olympia Food Bank. She has professional experience in fundraising and financial management. She’s a fast learner, adept at the information gathering skills a new commissioner will need. She’s young, sharp, and a breath of fresh air when we need it most.

Kelsey has the essential mind and skill set. She is passionate about protecting the resources residents most cherish in Thurston County, She shares our values and will deploy her prodigious energy to the multifaceted work of county government — with an eye to our common future. I endorse her wholeheartedly.
