Zika is coming, time to act

Zika is starting to become a major problem around the world, and now it’s in our country.

Right now, it appears the risk to Washington residents is minimal.

As a teenager who faces an uncertain world, it’s difficult to understand why our government does not want to address this problem directly by funding research and providing insecticide for affected areas. Why can’t Congress get their act together and do something?

It’s my generation that will pay the price for their inability to get along and run this country and that’s just not fair. What are our state leaders doing about this?
