Like in a bad dream, Trump does it again!
In an incredible display of chutzpah (so what’s new?) Donald Trump recently described the media as “the lowest form of life.”
Trump, himself a media creation who enjoyed unparalleled free coverage early in his campaign has managed to bite the hand that fed him so generously - eliminating the need for spending his much-ballyhood wealth on his efforts.
Now, of course, most media outlets have wised up to the Trump charade and, like any entity that dares to challenge him, have come in for the notorious “taking the gloves off” disparagement that is a Trump trademark.
Trump’s campaign would be little more than a bad joke -- a shaggy-dog tale -- were it not for the high stakes this presidential campaign holds for our nation and the world. How could competition for the highest office in our land have come to this?
Do you, like me, hope to wake up some lovely summer morning to the realization that this has merely been a very, very bad dream?
