1 Talk on ancient places

2Look for meteor shower
The Orionid meteor shower is expected to create up to 20 meteors per hour; the shower is created by dust grains left behind by comet Halley; look late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning; the best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight Wednesday after the moon sets.
3Local poet featured

4Walk through historic Lacey

5Visit haunted Fort Casey
Check out the first Haunted Fort, with games, activities and stories in the Admiralty Head Lighthouse; haunted fort is recommended for children 10 and older; 6:30-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; Fort Casey State Park, 1280 Eagle Road, Coupeville; $7 per person or $25 per family; parks.state.wa.us.
6Spooky tales at Fort Nisqually
Follow a path lit by jack o’lanterns to the bonfire and listen to spooky stories during “Bonfires, Beaver Pelts and Bogeymen,” 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Fort Nisqually, Point Defiance Park, 5400 N.
