Puget Sound Boat Show comes to Tacoma Dome
The Puget Sound Boat Show, the only boat show in the South Sound, opens Thursday at the Tacoma Dome. As many as 200 boats, of all styles and from an assortment of manufacturers, will be on display during the four-day show.
Nearly two dozen area dealers will fill 150,000 square feet of exhibition space with sport boats, wakeboard boats, fishing boats, pleasure craft, off-shore vessels and water scooters. Dealers will showcase entry-level and popular welded aluminum models, the latest fiberglass sport boats and offshore boats offering luxury and durability, according to a news release from O’Loughlin Trade Shows, the show organizers.
Sponsored by Twin Star Credit Union, the show will feature 2016 models and discounts on closeout models.
In addition to watercraft, other exhibitors will sell marine accessories, fishing gear, wakeboards, water skis and other water toys.
Another part of the show is the Fishing & Boating Theater. Each day, experts will offer a series of free seminars offering tips and advice on fishing, navigation, safety and other topics. Among the presenters are Tom Nelson, Terry Rudnick, Mark Gavin, Steve Chamberlin, Del Stephens and Brian Kratz.
11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. March 20.
