KIDS DAY
WHAT: The city of Auburn and partners celebrate the young ones. There will be live entertainment, rides, arts and crafts, and more than 90 booths with information and activities.
WHEN: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 24.
WHERE: Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE, Auburn.
THE HIGHLIGHTS: Children can ride the Ballistic Swing, burn some energy on the bungee trampolines, try out the paintball target range or ride a pony. There is a nominal fee for these activities.
Valley Medical Center will be offering free helmet fittings and selling helmets for $8.
Seattle Children’s South Clinic will have a free obstacle course that will have have the kids hopping, balancing and jumping.
There will also be craft vendor sales, miniature golf, a hands-on art experience, displays of large vehicles and equipment and food concessions.
MORE FUN: Before or after visiting the event, kids can visit the Rotary Spray Park and Discovery Playground in Les Gove Park.
NOTE: Leashed, licensed and well-behaved pets welcome.
ADMISSION: Free, but there is a fee for some activities.
