Theler Wetlands bird walk
Join experienced birders Faye Hands and John Riegsecker for a bird walk through this wetlands at the end of Hood Canal; there are more than 2 miles of trails winding through the 139-acre wetlands; 8-11 a.m.; meet at the Mary E. Theler Community Center, 22871 state Route 3, Belfair; free.
Walk through Millersylvania
The Capitol Volkssport Club is leading a 10-kilometer walk, with a 5-kilometer option, through Millersylvania State Park; walk through old-growth forest and along Deep Lake. Walk the Bud Blanchard Trail
The Daffodil Valley Volkssport Association will hold a walk along the Bud Blanchard Trail; 5- and 10-kilometer options; this will be an out-and-back walk from Eatonville toward Pack Forest. Start between 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and finish by 4 p.m.; start at Eatonville Eagles Hall, 100 Weyerhauser Road, Eatonville. Free, unless walking for credit. daffodilvalleyvolkssport.com.
Nature walk in McKinley Park

Conjunction of Venus, Jupiter
If the weather cooperates, look for Venus and Jupiter to be extremely close to each other; during this event, called a conjunction, the two bright planets will be only 0.06 degrees apart. The best viewing will be looking to the western sky just after sunset.
