Want to work for your favorite Seattle sports team? Here are 16 jobs you can apply for now

Millions of Washingtonians grow up dreaming of one day representing their favorite sports team at the highest level — dreams of becoming the next Ken Griffey Jr. or bringing the Super Bowl back to the Emerald City.

Unfortunately, for about 99.9% of us, those dreams never come to fruition. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t work for your favorite local sports team in some capacity.

From security officers to the director of sports performance, here are job opportunities with Washington’s major sports teams. Salaries and job descriptions are posted when provided by the team.

Mariners

Groundskeeping Operation Director

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year

Summary: Ensuring the playing field at the home of the Mariners, T-Mobile Park, is consistently maintained and well-kept to ensure the safety of players and in accordance with MLB standards. The director will also be responsible for year-round playing field maintenance for baseball games and other field events, such as concerts.

Security officer 24/7

Salary: $23 per hour

Summary: A seasonal role that oversees security for guests and staff of the ballpark, parking garage and other T-Mobile premises. Applicants must have a flexible schedule to work day, swing and overnight shifts.

Videoboard and Digital Displaces Coordinator

Salary: $58,000 - $63,000 per year

Summary: The coordinator will operate T-Mobile Park’s LED and digital displays. This includes helping with the design, programming and content of what is shown on the board, such as player graphics and videos. Flexible hours are required for the position, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Corporate Sales Account Executive

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year

Summary: The account executive is responsible for the sale and renewal of corporate season passes and mini-plan and flex season ticket memberships for fans.

Corporate Sales Manager

Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 per year

Summary: Responsible for managing the corporate sales team’s activities, focusing on retention and service of current customers. The position will also work with other departments to enhance the effectiveness of ticket sales and lead to higher customer satisfaction.

Sales Consultant

Salary: $50,000 per year

Summary: To generate relationships and business with new organizations that can provide revenue growth. The sales consultant will also be responsible for selling and renewing group ticket customers.

Senior Partnerships Activation Specialist

Salary: $65,500 - $70,000 annually

Summary: Engaging and enhancing partner relationships and maximizing profitability and growth with Mariners’ corporate partners.

Seahawks

Flagship Pro Shop Sales Associate

Salary: $22 per hour

Summary: Working in the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders’ Pro Shop to provide guests with a first-class knowledge of the store. The sales associate will also continuously stock merchandise and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Part-Time Security Officer

Salary: $22 per hour

Summary: The security officer must have a flexible schedule to be available to provide 24/7 security for the Seahawks’ Virginia Mason Athletic Center headquarters and practice facility. The officer will act as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding security-related needs.

Stadium Pro Shop Sales Associate

Salary: $22 per hour

Summary: The in-stadium shop sales associate will be responsible for working in the Pro Shop during Seahawks and Sounders matchdays. Shifts typically start 4 hours before Seahawks kickoffs and 2.5 hours before Sounders kickoffs, with shifts ranging between 6-9 hours.

Warehouse Associate

Salary: $22 per hour

Summary: The warehouse associate job is located in Kent and is responsible for picking and packing merchandise to be shipped to Pro Shop Retail locations.

Sounders

Director of Corporate Partnership Sales

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000

Summary: The director will be responsible for focusing on new corporate partnerships and growing existing partnerships, as well as contributing toward the Corporate Partnerships sales team to maximize revenue in a sustainable manner.

Director of Sports Performance

Salary: $90,000 - $135,000

Summary: The director will oversee and direct the overall strategy and budget of the Sounders’ performance department, working on in-season and off-season athlete health, strength and conditioning, fitness, wellness and nutrition.

OL Reign

Community Engagement Manager

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

Summary: The community engagement manager will oversee community outreach, engagement, and social responsibilities. A key responsibility will be identifying impact areas, focusing on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, empowerment, equity and environmental sustainability.

Tacoma Rainiers

Stadium Night Security

Salary: $16 per hour

Summary: The overnight guide will be responsible for securing the Rainiers’ home stadium, Cheney Stadium, and all relevant baseball equipment. The guard will be on site from midnight to 8 a.m. and enforce access throughout the stadium.

Post-Game Clean-Up Technician Team

Salary: $18 per hour part-time

Summary: A member of the clean-up team will work after Rainiers games to pick up garbage, sweep, empty garbage cans, and other clean-up duties. This is a seasonal position only available during baseball season.

Kraken

The Seattle Kraken is not hiring team-specific jobs, but their home stadium, Climate Pledge Arena, is hiring stadium-specific positions.
