No. 11 Kennedy Catholic Lancers (8-2) vs. No. 6 Graham-Kapowsin Eagles (9-1)

5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Art Crate Field -- 4A Round of 16

Graham-Kapowsin QB AJ Tuivaiave returned from a foot injury in Week 9 and quickly regained his form, throwing five touchdowns in last weekend’s district playoff win over Stadium. We’re expecting more fireworks when the Eagles welcome Kennedy Catholic to Art Crate Field on Saturday afternoon. The 6-foot-3 sophomore signal-caller is playing his best football at the best time, comfortable in the pocket and hitting receivers in stride. Lancers edge rusher and UW commit Derek Colman-Brusa, the state’s No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class, can wreck games — but if G-K’s O-Line provides Tuivaiave time, there’s plenty of star power on the perimeter to put up points. We’ll take the Eagles in their state opener.

TNT pick: Graham-Kapowsin 35, Kennedy Catholic 23

Sumner linebacker Austin Glivar (5) runs back a pick-6 against Eastmont during the first half of the game, at Sunset Chev Stadium on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, in Sumner, Wash.

No. 12 Richland Bombers (8-2) vs. No. 5 Sumner Spartans (7-3)

2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Sunset Chev Stadium (Sumner) -- 4A Round of 16

It’s no secret that Sumner runs the rock come playoff time, but three-star RB Lance McGee handled just seven carries despite his two-touchdown performance in last weekend’s district rout of Eastmont. That’s because the Spartans blocked Eastmont’s first two punts and ran away, 62-0, keeping McGee on the sidelines for the second half. That could change Saturday afternoon, when Sumner welcomes a more-potent Richland offense to Sunset Chev Stadium. Bombers QB Jackson Woodard was excellent in last week’s 41-0 shutout of Mount Si, completing 74 percent of his passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover — but it’ll take a herculean effort to shock this ‘Black Flag’ Sumner defense on the road. We’ll keep repeating the stat that’s hard to believe: The Spartans have outscored their last five opponents (Rogers, Curtis, Emerald Ridge, Bethel, Eastmont) by a combined score of 260-3.

TNT pick: Sumner 35, Richland 20

No. 10 W.F. West Bearcats (8-2) vs. No. 7 Franklin Pierce Cardinals (8-2)

7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 at Franklin Pierce High School -- 2A Round of 16

Franklin Pierce and W.F. West are running it back, a rematch of last year’s 2A quarterfinals in South Tacoma — a surprisingly resounding Bearcats win, 27-8. W.F. West graduated QB Gage Brumfield (Eastern Washington University) and now boasts blooming QB Wyatt Hoffman under center, but the host Cardinals return their core that includes reigning 2A SPSL MVP running back Bryson Allen and two-way QB/FS Jeremiah Orcutt. Allen is the South Sound’s rushing leader (1,779 YDS) and a big play waiting to happen, exploding for 27 touchdowns and 20.5 tackles for loss on defense at linebacker. He’s in line for another massive role in Franklin Pierce’s quest for back-to-back state quarterfinals appearances. We think the Cardinals find their way to revenge.

TNT pick: Franklin Pierce 32, W.F. West 24

No. 9 White River Hornets (10-0) vs. No. 8 Sedro-Woolley Cubs (10-0)

2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Sedro-Woolley High School -- 3A Round of 16

It’s a battle of unbeatens in the opening round of the 3A tournament when NPSL-champion White River visits Sedro-Woolley on Saturday afternoon. Hornets QB Chaz Strickland has tossed 30 touchdowns this fall, but it’s the defense that continues to shine, allowing 5.7 points per game throughout the program’s best season since 2004. Watch for Hornets do-it-all FS/WR Ray Palmer — who scored three touchdowns in last weekend’s win over Peninsula — and WR Parker Fry (13 TD in 2025). Can the Hornets find a way to suppress Sedro-Woolley RB Kolyn Rochester? It could be the key that unlocks White River’s first state quarterfinals appearance since 2013. The Cubs conquered Gig Harbor’s Wing-T offense in a low-scoring district affair last week, 14-7, and we could be in for another nailbiter.

TNT pick: White River 17, Sedro-Woolley 14

The Enumclaw Hornets offensive line prepares to take the field from the hog truck they enter in before the game against the Decatur Golden Gators at Pete’s Pool, on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, in Enumclaw, Wash.

No. 11 Enumclaw Hornets (9-1) vs. No. 6 Kennewick Lions (8-2)

2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Lampson Stadium (Kennewick) -- 3A Round of 16

Enumclaw can avenge last year’s state-opening loss this Saturday at Kennewick, the same group of Lions that knocked them out of title contention 364 days earlier. It’s far from an easy proposition: The Lions are undefeated against 3A programs this fall with losses to Chiawana and Kamiakin, both 4A state-tournament teams. Either way, expect this game to be won on the ground. Hornets RBs Cole Chiechi (13 TD) and Paxton Patterson (9 TD) each have eclipsed the 700-yard mark, but a Lions defense led by Montana commit Cooper Neer offers Enumclaw’s toughest test yet. We’ll take the Lions in what we think will be a more-competitive showing than Kennewick’s 40-20 win last year.

TNT pick: Kennewick 28, Enumclaw 21

Puyallup wide receiver Lawson Looker (3) makes a catch against Sumner outside linebacker Mason Ota (33) during the first half of the game at Sparks Stadium, on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, in Puyallup, Wash.
