What Is the Natural Selection Tour?
The brainchild of professional snowboarder Travis Rice, Natural Selection's long been the envy of skiers. It shares some similarities to the Freeride World Tour, judging skiers on their ability to pick their way down unmanicured faces.
A head-to-head format sets Natural Selection apart, though, as does the invitational element. While a few skiers qualified through Super Sessions this season, much of the Natural Selection roster is handpicked. That allowed organizers to build a generations-spanning fantasy crew, including everyone from up-and-comers like Manon Loschi to the esteemed all-around legend Tanner Hall.
