Dallas Wings Add Ex-No. 2 Overall Pick to Join Azzi Fudd, Paige Bueckers

During her 12-year WNBA career, Odyssey Sims has accomplished a lot.

She was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2014 after being picked No. 2 overall by the Tulsa Shock (now the Dallas Wings), and she made her first All-Star and All-WNBA Teams in 2019 with the Minnesota Lynx.

And now, she'll get to play with back-to-back No. 1 overall picks in Azzi Fudd (2026) and Paige Bueckers (2025) after signing with the Wings on Wednesday.

"Breaking: 2014 No. 2 overall pick Odyssey Sims has agreed to a one-year deal to join the Dallas Wings, her agent, Harrison Gaines, Esq. of SLASH Sports, tells ESPN" Alexa Philippou posted on X.

"Sims returns to Dallas after most recently appearing for them in 2024. She was a crucial pickup for the Fever last year who helped them make a deep playoff run."

The 33-year-old Sims averaged 10.1 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game last year with the Indiana Fever. Across 316 career games, Sims has averaged 11.1 points, 3.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest.

She's the latest free-agent addition for the Wings, who added three-time WNBA champion Alysha Clark on Tuesday.

Along with Fudd, Bueckers, and Clark, Dallas also re-signed star guard Arike Ogunbowale to a multi-year deal, and now Sims gives the Wings plenty of veteran experience to help mentor their young guns.
