A significant thunderstorm has moved into the area of Kansas City. Kansas Speedway announced well in advance that they were not going to open up the grandstands for fans. So, this result has been clear for a couple of hours, at least.

Carson Kvapil is the big winner here. He gets to start on pole due to the metric. All 37 cars will qualify for the race, and that's good news for guys like Dawson Cram, Mason Maggio, and Blake Lothian. They don't have to sweat things out in qualifying.

The NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series will race on Saturday night at 7:00 PM ET on The CW. Temperatures will be much lower than today and on Sunday. It will be interesting to see how the weather changes the race.
