Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan Working On Fractured Friendship
Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan haven't exactly spent a ton of time together over the past few years.
Barkley, an 11-time All-Star, had the chance to team up with Jordan, arguably the greatest player of all time, during the 1992 Olympics. Despite building a bond on and off the hardwood in the 1990s, their friendship has dealt with some turbulence over the past few decades.
During an episode of "Pablo Torre Finds Out" in July 2025, ESPN's Michael Wilbon said he was tasked with "brokering the peace" between Jordan and Barkley.
"That has been my job," Wilbon said. "And that's all I will say about it. That has been my job."
Barkley later revealed that Jordan "went ballistic on him" after he critiqued the six-time champion's skills as a general manager.
"He said ‘You supposed to be my best friend and you're going to do that bulls---.' I told him I have to do my job and you haven't been a good GM," Barkley said, via The Blast. "How can I criticize other people and give him a pass? When other guys make bad draft picks, I call them on it, too."
It's never too late to say sorry.
During an appearance on Chris Russo's SiriusXM radio show, Barkley revealed that he's going to meet up with Jordan for a round of golf.
"We had a conversation," Barkley told Russo. "We're going to get together and play golf as soon as basketball is over."
Barkley made it known that he always "had a lot of love" for Jordan.
"We're not like Prince William and Prince Harry. We always had a lot of love for each other. But we talked, actually, in the last probably 72 hours. We decided to get together and play golf as soon as basketball is over."
Only time will tell if Barkley and Jordan can get on the same page.
