3 Huge Surprises That Could Happen on Raw After WrestleMania

WrestleMania 42 is over, and that means the de facto end of WWE‘s season.

Like the Super Bowl or World Series, Roman Reigns ended the marquee event in the biggest match of the year as world champion with fireworks going off behind him.

Unlike the NFL or MLB, though, Reigns won’t be on a private jet to Cancun tomorrow, excited for the offseason.

There are no offseasons in pro wrestling, and the new season of WWE opens up tomorrow, with “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix as the kickoff.

Anything can happen as we turn the page to the new campaign, so here are three major twists that could occur tomorrow night.

More news: Brock Lesnar Seemingly Retires at WrestleMania 42 in Shocking Moment

Brock Lesnar tries to retire, but is stopped

One of the most shocking moments of WrestleMania 42 wasn’t that Brock Lesnar lost to Oba Femi, but that he took off his fighting gloves and wrestling boots and left them in the ring, signifying his retirement.

While Lesnar is near the end of his career, I believe he still has one match left in him. On “Raw,” I predict we’ll see Gunther attempt to attack Lesnar’s close friend and longtime manager, Paul Heyman, with the former UFC heavyweight champion forced to have one final fight this summer.

SummerSlam is in his home state of Minnesota, and a final match with the “Career Killer” makes all the sense in the world, especially after WWE teased it before WrestleMania with Gunther taking on Seth Rollins to help out Heyman.

New stars on the rise

You always expect a call-up or two from NXT following WrestleMania, and I think we’ll get at least one on Monday night.

I’m looking at Jacey Jane, who recently dropped the NXT women’s championship and has been more ready to move up to the main roster over the past year.

Ethan Page is another name who could pop up either this Monday or on Friday later in the week.

Iyo Sky turns on best friend Rhea Ripley

Ripley is back as champion, and her greatest rival has been reduced to a cute, cuddly sidekick.

Iyo Sky is too good to be saddled with such a character. Following so-so reigns from Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill, Ripley needs to bring some excitement back to the belt.

Have Sky turn on Ripley on Monday, let the two create magic over the spring into the summer, and after two or three matches, have the climax come at SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
