Dianna Russini's 2025 Interview With Mike Vrabel Has Resurfaced

With the NFL Draft set to begin this Thursday, the biggest storyline involves New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and former ESPN insider Dianna Russini.

Earlier this month, Page Six shared photos of Russini and Vrabel spending time together at an Arizona resort. Both parties claimed they were on separate trips and slammed the rumors about them having a romantic relationship. Days later, however, Russini resigned from her role with The Athletic.

On April 23, things took a turn for the worse because Page Six published new photos of Russini and Vrabel. This time around, they were caught getting close at a bar in New York City. These images were taken on March 11, 2020.

"As seen in exclusive new pics obtained by Page Six, the New England Patriots coach and the NFL reporter were spotted together inside the dimly lit Tribeca Tavern in the early hours of March 11, 2020," Page Six reported. "They sat close to each other while conversing at the bar, at one point appearing to share a kiss."

Now that Page Six has dropped yet another bombshell report, NFL fans have revisited Russini's interview with Vrabel from the 2025 offseason. They noticed that one of her questions was about Vrabel's wife.

"Your wife, Jen, is a superb athlete," Russini told Vrabel. "Which sport do you think Jen could beat you at now?"

Vrabel, who has been married to Jen since 1999, said his wife could beat him in ping pong. While it seemed like a harmless interaction at the time, fans are now questioning why Russini would mentioned one of Vrabel's family members given her alleged history with him.

"This genuinely might go down as one of the wildest interviews ever now that we got the context," one fan said.

"This is nasty work man," a second fan wrote. "They both foul."

"They both never need to work in sports again, i'm being so serious," another fan declared.

"This is gross," a social media user commented.

Patriots comment on this situation.

Vrabel has announced that he'll miss Day 3 of the NFL Draft to undergo counseling. The Patriots made it clear that they support their head coach's decision to prioritize his personal situation at this time.

"The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel's decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being. Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment," the team said in a statement.

"We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process. While he will not be present at the facility on Saturday, we know the draft evaluations are complete and Eliot Wolf and his personnel staff are prepared to execute our draft as planned this weekend."

It's unclear when Vrabel will return to New England's facility.
