W.F. West pushed its win streak to 16 on Wednesday, topping Shelton 5-0 in an EvCo matchup.

The game remained scoreless through two frames, but the Bearcats jumped in front with four runs in the third and extended their lead with five runs in the fourth. Another run in the fifth put the game at 10-0.

Miles Martin finished with two hits, and drove in three runs, while Hiroto Smaciarz notched a pair of hits and drove in two runs.

Alex Stafford and Hudson McCallum added a hit and two RBIs apiece, and Gage Wiens added a triple and an RBI.

Emmett Goodman pitched the first four innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three, while Wyatt Hoffman struck out two in a perfect fifth inning.

W.F. West (16-1, 11-0 2A EvCo) will round out its week with a trip to Black Hills on Friday.
