Notre Dame's Jadarian Price Deemed the ‘Clear Star' of the Seahawks Draft

With the 2026 NFL draft behind us, it’s time to look at what these 32 teams did with their precious selections and size up their rosters.

When it comes to the Seattle Seahawks, the team, of course, had their first pick at No. 32, which is a casualty of winning the Super Bowl. But, nobody in Seattle is complaining.

They used that pick wisely and selected running back Jadarian Price of Notre Dame. Sure, Jeremiyah Love was the big name out of Notre Dame this year, but Price is also truly a standout.

NFL draft analyst Rob Rang of Fox Sports has released his tally of the best and worst moves in the NFL draft.

“It will take at least three years before we can truly assess how the 32 NFL teams fared over the weekend,” he says in the feature. “But what is readily apparent is the different approaches that were taken, from going for the best available talent to focusing on team needs to gambling on character concerns and long-term potential.”

For the Seahawks, he calls Price the “clear star of the class,” adding that he’s “an instinctive runner well-suited to the wide-zone scheme new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury will keep in Seattle.”

Rang also gives the Seahawks an overall “B” for their draft class.

“The Seahawks needed to find a back with Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III now with the Chiefs,” he adds in the piece, “and the club filled holes at safety and cornerback with its next picks in TCU’s ball-hawking Bud Clark and the ascending and highly aggressive Julian Neal at No. 99 overall.”

What Makes Jadarian Price a Good Fit for the Seattle Seahawks?

Frankly, what makes Price a solid fit for the Seahawks is that they have that strong running back need, since Walker went to the Chiefs, and Price was a gem to find at pick No. 32. He’s a natural runner and has the ability to sprint on a dime. While his teammate Love got all the draft fanfare, Price could be the guy who stands out in the NFL.
