Storm release two players as they prepare for season opener
The Storm's roster is down to 13 players - one more than the WNBA max - after the team released Jaelyn Brown and Rennia Davis on Wednesday.
Brown, a 6-foot-1 guard/forward who starred at California, averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in a pair of exhibitions games.
Davis a 6-1 guard who played at Tennessee, averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in the preseason.
If they pass waivers, both are eligible to re-sign with the Storm as developmental players although the team is expected to consider rookie forward Grace VanSlooten, its third-round pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, who remains on the active roster.
On Tuesday, the Storm re-signed rookie guard Taina Mair to a developmental player contract after waiving her Sunday.
WNBA teams must reduce rosters to 12 players by 2 p.m. PT Thursday.
