Lindsey Vonn Has 'Permanently' Moved Out Of California

Legendary U.S. Olympics star Lindsey Vonn has long held a presence in the state of California, owning a multi-million dollar home in Beverly Hills. However, the 41-year-old skiing legend has decided to relocate - permanently.

Vonn, who is coming off a devastating leg injury at the 2026 Winter Games in Italy, has permanently moved from California to Utah. She has put her Beverly Hills, California home up for sale. Vonn recently knocked a lot off the asking price, as she looks to finalize her move out of the West Coast state.

According to Realtor.com, Vonn dropped the asking price from $4.45 million to $4.25 million as of May 12.

Vonn chose to leave California for Utah, where she has built a "stunning" custom home on a huge, 24-acre plot of land.

Vonn first purchased her California home for $3.4 million in 2021, records show. She officially put it on the market in November.

Roughly six months after listing the home on the market, Vonn has dropped the price by more than $200,000.

"Serene, stylish, and effortlessly private, this impeccably renovated traditional home is set behind secure walls and gates," the description reads.

"Flooded with natural light and defined by soaring ceilings and an intuitive, open layout, the residence showcases exceptional craftsmanship and luxury finishes throughout."

In 2020, Vonn opened up about wanting to relocate permanently to Utah.

"I was living in Vail for pretty much most of my childhood, and I just felt like I needed a change after retirement," she shared to Graham Bensinger in 2020. "Vail just reminded me of all of my hospital visits. I think I was at the Vail hospital more times than not and I knew everyone by their first names, which is not a good sign."

Vonn has been recovering well from her injury

Vonn, who recently sparked dating rumors in New York City, has been progressing well from her devastating leg injury at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The iconic American athlete suffered a horrifying leg fracture during the women's downhill. She was rushed to the hospital after being airlifted off of the mountain.

"I'd say in the last month, it's definitely gotten better, but of course there were really low moments," she told PEOPLE earlier this spring.

Vonn was struggling a lot at the beginning.

"It was quite a challenge, just being in the hospital alone for two and a half weeks," she continued.

"Being completely immobile for that extended time period was so rough."

Hopefully, the move to Utah has been a good one for her.
