Trish Stratus Stirs Up WWE Fans With Throwback Swimsuit Photo
Even at the age of 50, WWE legend Trish Stratus knows how to get her fans' pulses racing.
Stratus joined the WWE in 2000 and quickly worked her way up the ladder. By 2006, she won her record seventh Women's Championship. Her accomplishments in the ring led to her making the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
"She proved she was more than just a pretty face when she started competing in 2001. In November of that year, Trish Stratus captured her first Women's Championship when she won a Six-Pack Challenge Match at Survivor Series. The gorgeous Diva won that title seven times over the next five years, defeating top competitors like Lita, Molly Holly and Victoria in the process," her bio for the WWE states.
"Trish Stratus announced her retirement from the ring in 2006 and competed in her last match at Unforgiven in September, beating Lita to win the Women's Championship for the final time. In the years that followed, the beloved beauty has regularly returned to WWE, including tagging with "Jersey Shore" troublemaker Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi at WrestleMania XXVII, appearing as a trainer on the 2011 relaunch of "Tough Enough" and taking her rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013."
Earlier this week, Stratus shared a compilation of old photos along with the caption: "Your first crush nostalgia edition."
This post from Stratus immediately went viral on Instagram, receiving plenty of love from WWE fans around the world.
"You've been her from Day 1," a fan commented.
"A legend then, a legend now," a second fan wrote.
"My childhood wrestling crush for sure," a third fan said.
"Thee greatest of all time and thee finest of all time," an Instagram user declared.
Stratus has not said anything about a potential return to the WWE, but Tiffany Stratton admit that she'd be open to a rematch. They squared off last July at WWE Evolution.
"Oh, it was just- I feel like that whole day was just so amazing. I feel like it was like a dream. I'm really proud of that match with me and Trish. I thought we had such a good match together," Stratton said, via Slam Wrestling. "We had amazing chemistry, and Trish, I love her. I love her so much. I wish we could have a round two. But never say never. Maybe she'll come back out of retirement for me."
In the meantime, Stratus is proving she's still capable of going viral even when she's not in the ring.
