Anacortes American Girls Athlete of the Week: Marlo Olson

Marlo Olson won the girls' 400-meter dash on Wednesday, May 6, in a Northwest Conference track and field meet against Oak Harbor.

The sophomore had a personal-best time of 1 minute, 4.60 seconds.

Her previous best had been 1:06.19.

Olson also ran May 6 on two relays in the Seahawks' final meet of the regular season.

She ran the anchor legs of the runner-up 400 relay team and the runner-up 800 relay team.

This season, Olson has also ran the 200-meter dash and on her school's 1,600 relay team, and has competed in the long jump.
