Taxpayers' Bill For President Trump's Golf Habit Reaches 'Major' Milestone
President Trump is playing a lot of golf and the U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill in a major way.
The President of the United States, who turns 80 years old this summer, isn't slowing down when it comes to playing golf. President Trump, who took office in January of 2025, has reportedly spent more than 100 days on the golf course. According to Did Trump Golf Today, he's spent 111 out of his 487 days in office on the golf course.
That's quite a number.
Meanwhile, the taxpayers' estimated bill for President Trump's golf habit has reached a major milestone, according to the outlet.
According to the Donald Trump Golf Tracker, the taxpayers' estimated bill for President Trump's golf habits has crossed the $150 million mark.
The current estimation is at $155,400,000. That cost is based on the average price per round calculated from the cost per trip identified within the GAO's 2019 Report on the cost of four golf trips taken by Trump in his first U.S. Presidency.
President Trump has faced some criticism for his golf habits - unsurprisingly
Some in the U.S. have called him out.
"At a time when gas prices are spiking and Americans across the country find themselves in an ever-worsening affordability crisis, the president has burned through over $100 million in taxpayer money in order to make promotional appearances at his golf courses and hobnob with millionaires and billionaires," said Jordan Libowitz with the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington watchdog group. "If his goal were to help struggling Americans out, one thing he could try is stop spending their money going to his golf courses."
Of course, President Trump doesn't appear to plan on stopping.
The President of the United States has been spotted at his golf courses in Virginia, New Jersey and Florida several times over the past few months.
It's more of a lifestyle than a habit at this point.
