Kyle Busch's Wife Posted Family Photo Hours Before His Hospitalization

Kyle Busch's wife posted a family photo on Instagram, hours before his apparent hospitalization on Thursday morning, May 21.

The prominent NASCAR Cup Series driver will not be racing in the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday afternoon. Busch has been hospitalized. The popular NASSAR driver has been diagnosed with a "severe" illness. Further details at this time are unclear.

Busch did go through some medical issues during a May 10 race earlier in the month.

The Busch family released a statement on his status on Thursday morning, announcing he will miss this weekend's race.

"Kyle has experienced a severe illness resulting in hospitalization. He is currently undergoing treatment and will not compete in any of his scheduled activities this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for understanding and privacy as our family navigates this situation," the statement read.

Just hours before the hospitalization announcement, Busch's wife, Samantha, posted a family photo.

It's unclear what exactly led to Kyle Busch's hospitalization on Thursday morning. However, as recently as late on Wednesday evening, his wife, Samantha Busch, was taking to her Instagram Story, posting family photos.

She was joking about the outfits worn at NASCAR races, too.

Whatever happened, it appears to have come on quickly.

The NASCAR world is thinking of Busch and his family during this scary, difficult time on Thursday morning.

"Whoa, alarming news here. Hope Kyle is able to recover quickly," longtime NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck shared.

"Praying for KB and his whole family. The power of prayer is real❤️," one fan added.

Austin Hill, meanwhile, will be taking over for Busch in the Coca-Cola 600.
